About Gus

Gus Ruiz joined the Genz team in 2021 and is a leader in Business Development and Client Relationship Management, supporting clients across diverse sectors including Technology, Aerospace, Distribution and Industrial Manufacturing. With more than 15 years of experience driving growth through acquisition, Gus has developed a strong reputation for helping organizations expand their market reach, build strategic partnerships, and close complex, high-value transactions.

Known for his collaborative approach and deep understanding of the M&A landscape, Gus partners closely with clients to translate vision into measurable outcomes. His work blends executive-level strategy with practical, relationship-driven execution, delivering results that resonate with clients and business owners.

Prior to joining the firm, Gus held positions at Zoom Video Communications and Cisco Systems and is an Indiana University Alum. When he’s not working with clients, Gus is passionate about mentoring emerging sales leaders. Away from the office Gus enjoys playing tennis, guitar, gardening and spending time with his family and wife of 37 years.
