About Declan
Declan Cole joined the Genz team in 2025, bringing over 10 years of leadership and professional experience in Corporate Development, M&A, and Strategy. In his role, Declan leads client engagements across platform investments, add-on acquisitions, and buy-and-build strategies. He partners with leading investment firms and portfolio companies to support their acquisition growth strategies, while prioritizing trusted relationships with business owners and management teams to align opportunities that create long-term value for all parties.
Most recently, Declan served as Head of Corporate Development and M&A at Kylemore Holdings, a diversified holding company based in Austin, Texas. Prior to Kylemore, he worked in Corporate Development at Dealerware, a subsidiary of Audi AG. He previously held roles in Strategy & Innovation at Citigroup in London and New York, as well as M&A Advisory and Assurance roles across the Big Four.
Originally from County Down, Ireland, and now based in Austin, Declan brings a patient, global perspective to a fast-paced deal environment. He is active in The Ireland Funds Young Leaders Society, supporting philanthropic initiatives in Ireland, and is a former leader within the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community. Outside of work, Declan enjoys triathlons, golf, and spending time with his wife and daughter. Gaelic football remains one of his passions, and he has won championships in both Great Britain and New York during his time living abroad.
