Clad Metal Specialties Acquired by Prince & Izant, an Industrial Growth Partners Company
May 2025 – Austin, TX. Genz & Associates is pleased to announce the acquisition of Clad Metal Specialties by Prince & Izant (P&I), a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners (IGP). Clad Metal Specialties is a full-service metal processing firm that manufactures custom composite metal materials for industries including aerospace, medical, and automotive. The company specializes in creating customized clads, inlays, and toplays by combining different metals to achieve a unique set of properties, such as strength, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity.
P&I is a Cleveland-based provider of highly-engineered brazing alloys, precision-engineered materials, and high-purity precious materials in various forms that are used in critical and demanding applications in the aerospace, automotive, cutting tools, HVAC/R, and medical manufacturing industries. They differentiate themselves through deep materials-science expertise, engineering support, rapid lead times, and a consultative, customer-centric approach.
IGP is a San Francisco based private equity firm that focuses exclusively on middle-market industrial manufacturing and niche services companies in North America. Since its founding in 1997, IGP has raised around $3.4 billion of equity capital across six funds and backed more than 40 platform companies. They apply deep industrial expertise, conservative capital structures, and close collaboration with management teams to drive long-term, value-oriented growth.
Genz & Associates was retained by P&I and IGP as their buy-side advisor to assist in executing their buy-and-build strategy. This is the second completed transaction the Genz team has originated for IGP this year, the first being IGP’s platform investment in SENS Holdings which closed in March. In total, Genz has initiated and closed 12 transactions with IGP.
